The Meany/Simmons Flute and Classical Guitar Duo
Tom Meany, flute and Michael Simmons, classical guitar have performed throughout the Philadelphia area since they first joined forces in 1990. Their repertoire is comprised of music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods as well as a selection of contemporary works.
The duo’s debut CD features the music of Handel, Faure, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla and others. Copies of our CD are available for sale on this site. We are also featured with Irish singer Sarah Agnew on the CD “The Old Man.”
Concert programs are tailored to fit the presenter’s interest. The duo is committed to bringing a variety of musical styles to its audience and often includes informal in-concert discussions as part of its presentation.
